Images that illustrate the story have the unique ability to condense content and engage a browsing reader. Today, photography, though still powerful tool in the hands of a talented designer, more often than not encounters a photo-desensitized reader.
Software developments in the last few years have allowed the illustrator to weld photography and illustration in new and compelling ways. A truly new approach to publication visuals is now a viable and economical alternative for designers. It combines the external reality of the photograph with the creative vision of the painter.
Recently, I've been producing more and more digital photo and montage illustrations. I've employed software like Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator to produce the illustrations shown below and in other sections of this site. Thoughout my career I've demonstrated that I can produce arresting illustrations, on deadline, and at a price that is consistent with the reality of today's budgets.
