Providing thought-provoking illustration in books and magazines, or on the web, is often the best way to capture someone's attention. It has the unique ability to condense content and engage a browsing reader in the content, before he begins reading. After that, the text and the illustrations should, ideally, support and enhance each other to convey the editorial content. As an illustrator, there is no substitute for a clear understanding of the text prior to illuminating it and expanding on it for others.

I was trained as a fine artist and I've spent many years working as an artist and illustrator. I've conveyed all kinds of ideas and I've done so clearly and creatively in many media. These days, I'm producing more and more illustrations digitally, in Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator. I've demonstrated that I can produce arresting illustrations, on deadline, and at a price that is consistent with the reality of today's budgets.
