This painting is dedicated to my dog "Rudy" who died on March 24, 2007. Rudy died as a result of eating contaminated pet food made by Purina under the Alpo brand. He was the best dog I ever had or ever knew. He loved to accompany Pat and I on our boat and was with us on the trip through the NY Erie Canal system that inspired this painting. Rest in peace dear friend. We'll always love you.

I would also like to thank Van Morrison for being a frequent companion as I completed this painting in my studio. His album entitled "Avalon Sunset", and his entire body of work, has been a constant source of inspiration to me.
